David
Shupe
David
was raised in Ohio. While attending Ohio State University he became
a believer in 1972. In order to pursue his desire to know the Lord
he withdrew from school and was subsequently drafted into the Army.
After serving in the Army for 2 years he moved to Rapid City. He subsequently
returned to school and graduated from the University of North Dakota
in 1977. Since his graduation David has worked
as a physical therapist while receiving additional certifications as an
athletic trainer and a strength and conditioning specialist.
David and
his wife, Jean, have been associated with Christian Life Ministries in
various ways since it’s inception in 1981. After
being out of the state for a number of years they returned to Rapid City
in 1992. For a number of years after returning to Rapid City David was
a member of the board of directors of the ministry until just recently
when he resigned from the board to become a member of the counseling
staff. He is ordained through Grace Community Ministries in Sioux Falls.
David is involved with counseling and teaching at the ministry.
His heart’s
desire, not only for himself but also for others, is to know and not
just know about the Lord. David believes that knowing Him goes far beyond
acquiring more information and “being right." A daily relationship
with our Father through the Holy Spirit not only brings meaningful change
in the life of the believer but yields a life of thanksgiving and praise
to our God – Who is deserving of all praise! |
