Marci
Ewing Maddux grew up in Rapid City attending church regularly. But it
was not until November of 1970 that she heard dearly what it meant to
have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Word. Through
the years God brought many different ministries and influential believers
to share His truths and love with her.
It was in the Fall of 1978 that
God communicated a "call" on her life from the book of Isaiah
to the area of Biblical Counseling. She was accepted on staff with SCOPE
Ministries, an interdenominational ministry in Oklahoma City in 1980.
She served with SCOPE in Oklahoma for the next 10 years, then relocated
to Steamboat Springs, Col0rado to extend SCOPE’s ministry to assist
an evangelical church in the counseling field.
Marci met and married her
husband, Harry, during this time and continued counseling in Frisco,
Colorado. Through God's Word and the Holy Spirit’s prompting they
moved to Rapid City in the Spring of 1994. She has served as a counselor,
trainer and conference speaker for the past 13 years with Christian Life
Ministries. She holds a B. A. in Social Work from the University of Central
Oklahoma, and has served in many different mission capacities through
the years. Some of those experiences include the Billy Graham Association
in Amsterdam, working with itinerant evangelists and New York City after
the Trade Towers tragedy. Marci has been licensed for eleven years through
ECH Christ Community Church.
Marci's life message is that others would
truly know the personal love of God and the power of His Word to transform
their minds and hearts. Her life verse is Psalms 119:92-93 |
