Karn
Pat
Karn was born in Rushville NE, but was raised in Rapid City, SD. He graduated
from High School in 1977 and married his wife Connie in 1979. After attending
Black Hills State College and SD School of Mines and Technology, he accepted
a management position with a telecommunications company in Madison, WI.
After promotional transfers that led to Alliance,
NE, North Platte, NE and the Chicago area, Pat was led to walk away
from that career pursuit and pursue God’s direction for his life. That took Pat and his
family back to Nebraska where Pat continued his education at Chadron
State College. One year later Pat began a non-denominational youth ministry.
Pat is the father of 3 children and a proud grandfather.
His children are Jesse (spouse Tana,) Amanda (spouse Jamie Loftus & a son Dominick)
and Tyson (spouse Abby). Some of the ways Pat and his family enjoy spending
their time are leading couple’s bible studies, riding motorcycles,
preaching and spending time with extended family.
After completing Biblical
Counseling Training, Pat came on staff at Christian Life Ministries in
1993. He is a member of the Association of Exchanged Life Ministries.
Pat was ordained as a pastor in 2003. He counsels full time at CLM and
has served as interim pastor in many local churches. He teaches bible
studies and coteaches the Lay Counseling Classes levels one, two and
three. Pat also is the director of the Spearfish SD CLM office and is
a chaplain for the Billy Graham Rapid Response Counseling Team. He has
traveled to Amsterdam for “Amsterdam 2000”, New York for
9-11 trauma counseling, Florida and Grenada,West Indies for hurricane
Ivan disaster counseling and most recently, New Orleans for trauma counseling
during hurricane Katrina.
Because of Pat’s love of motorcylces,
his Sturgis Rally ministry is one of his favorite outreaches. Pat loves
speaking at seminars and conferences that give him the platform to spread
the Grace Message of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
